DFES General Circular 107/2018 Expressions of Interest (EOI) are invited from Career and Volunteer Firefighters to assist with the coordination of events at the Australasian Police and Emergency Services (AP&ES) Games. Mainly the operation of vehicles and firefighting equipment for the opening ceremony, fire truck pull event and firefighter races (including heavy hose, burn over and bucket brigade drills).
Successful respondents would be required to attend the AP&ES Games in MANDURAH on the below dates with specific times still to be determined:
* Opening Ceremony – Sunday 28th of October, 2018
* Fire Truck Pull and Firefighter Races – Saturday 3rd of November, 2018
Note: Similar to sports coordinator and other APES roles involvement is voluntary.
Applicants should have a genuine interest in community based activities promoting health and fitness and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Interested personnel should submit a brief explanation (1 paragraph) outlining your relevant skills and deliver to the email address below. Appliances being used during the events are Scania Urban Pumps, Urban Tankers (3.4) and Light Tankers.

Regarding Group Call Replacement Project – DFES Operational Circular 67/2018 As of March 2019, Telstra will be withdrawing the Spectrum Conferencing System, known as Group Call, which is used to mobilise Brigades, Groups and Units (BGU).
The transfer to a new system replacing Group Call has been delayed. Further information will be provided as soon as it is made available to the Association.
