It is with great sadness that we advise you of the passing of Frank Pratt (Retired DFES DO and stalwart of the Vintage Fleet Restoration Group) on Sunday 22nd July 2018.
During his 37 years in the Service, Frank was known for his cheeky smile, extensive knowledge (particularly in the Built Environment Branch) and his passion for educating the community on fire safety and fire preparedness. These passions continued long after his retirement in 1988, and he continued to serve the community in any way he could.
Frank was awarded the Australian Fire Services Medal in the Queens’ Birthday Honours List of 2018 for his services to the community of Western Australia.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday 1st August 2018 at the Pinnaroo Valley Memorial Park (West Chapel); commencing at 1300 hours. Should you wish to part of the guard of honour, please arrive by 1250 hours.
On behalf of the Association Executive, member Brigades and volunteers of the Fire and Rescue Service, we express our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Frank’s children Cheryl and Robert, his grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as his colleagues in Vintage Fleet and former firefighting colleagues.
Farewell Frank, you will be sorely missed by all who knew you.
