Over the weekend of 27 and 28 February, the 2021 State Open Firefighting Games took place at Gilbert Fraser Reserve.

Fifteen teams from all over Western Australia came to compete against each other.

In Summary:

  • Harvey won A Class
  • Esperance won C Class
  • South Kalgoorlie and Mandurah tied in the trial Service Event competition
  • Marc Papalia won Champion Firefighter
  • Jordan Turlock from Northam won C Class Best Performing Firefighter
  • Khloe Harding from Harvey and Carrissa Sutherland-Scott from Kellerberrin tied for Best Female Firefighter.
